Background
UMI (Unique Marine Ingredient) is developed by UMI Wellness owned by listed company Yaizu Suisan Chemical Industries, the leader in seafood seasoning research and development. This production technology has been awarded Japanese patents (no. 4612549 and 5512995). The only product allowed to display "inhibit uric acid" on packaging in Japan, and 90% repeat customers after successful usage.

UMI is formulated with 50mg of Anserine EX purely extracted from deep water tuna and bonito which is reported to be able to suppress the uric acid when the level goes beyond the normal range (5.5 -7.0 mg/dl)
 
Anserine is known to inhibit liver xanthine oxidase (XO) which is the enzyme for uric acid formation.   Anserine promotes the excretion of uric acid from body without increasing the urine volume.  So no worries of frequent toilet visits.
